Day 9: Numbers 1-16

I pray you are continuing to read daily discovering the law, the building of the tabernacle, the sacrifices made by the children of Israel to build the tabernacle, and  how God made such provisions for all the materials needed that he had to command the children to stop bringing sacrifices.
I hope you have noticed the specific gifts given by God to individuals, but as a collective body all those gifts resulted in a built tabernacle as the Lord commanded Moses.
I pray you are not just skimming past these days of reading in Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers.  Too often, we don’t hear sermons or have bible study over the law and if we do the real emphasis is given to the 10 commandments or other “well-known” isolated passages.
When we get to the New Testament, you will see so much of the Scribes and Pharisees puzzling questions to Jesus revolve around the traditions of their time; traditions we are reading about right now, before Jesus came to the world.  We are reading  about the way of life for the children of Israel.  A lifestyle they handed down from generation to generation.
The Law is important and crucial to the foundation of our religion and faith.  Do not be turned off or discouraged by names you may not be able to pronounce or what feels like constant reading of sin offerings, peace offerings, grain offerings, and so on.
God is providing us with foundation information to help us better understand the rest of the journey that is before us.  Love You!  Be Encouraged!
